I have no loyalty to any political party – the only agenda is to expose corruption and make Knysna a more educated and safer town. There has been no payment. No budget except what i can scrape together (the lack of money is always a problem).
Across all my websites, there’s been a lot more writing than these words but this website may be the most important.
Originally, this was suppose to be a charity website but with a constitution that emphasized truth seeking, the original goal was diverted as i encountered obstructions and lies delivered from the very people who were suppose to be defending us i.e. the Knysna DA, Knysna ANC, Knysna Municipality, Knysna Tourism, local newspapers and the Knysna SAPS. They have chosen greed and cover-up over duty to us, the very people who they are suppose to be working for.
This has been a long and difficult battle. Personally, there is a cost to being a full-time activist. I have made enemies. I’ve become tougher but the Knysna war has only become bigger so that the workload threatens to be overwhelming with the sad consequence that i’m forced to say no to people who bring worthy issues to me in the hope that i will investigate them.
Honestly, i hope to give this up one day and focus fully on community projects. I keep telling myself that i will but, nowadays, the non-stop supply of bad people into our town makes me feel obligated i.e. if we allow bad people to get away with their crimes, they will only hurt more people…apathy and fear makes us complicit, makes us share the crime with them. Nevertheless, i hope to figure out a way that helps others and allows me to have a life as well. I hope that when that day comes i will get over the feeling of being a coward.
Thank you very much for being my readers. Super thanks to those who have commented under their real names or shared these blogs on Facebook (making a topic known is very important for the protection of all involved). Thank you to those who have voted on our polls here and on my other sites.
Most of all, thanks to the informants and the fighters (those that have stood up for their communities despite all odds being against them). I salute you!
