It’s tragic that so many people with disabilities in Knysna are invisible. Many simply stay at home.

But on Saturday, in the spirit of the Olympics, the APD (Agency for Persons with Disabilities) were proudly marching down the main road of Knysna.

They carried a banner proclaiming UP YOUR GAME, the theme for Casual Day 2016.

The marchers were friendly. So too were the policemen and firemen helping them out. Ahead of them, in the photo above, you can see Nwabisa Pondoyi, journalist from the KPH. She, like me, caught up with them to find out what was happening 🙂
