The BEST thing you can do this Sunday is to go to Totties Farm Kitchen in Rheenendal for their eat-as-much-as-you-like buffet lunch.

I was lucky enough to be treated last weekend and left looking like a beach ball… which is an odd thing to look like when i’m Knysna’s fabulous countryside! The 3 photos above are the only evidence of the 3-course meal that vanished into my happy tummy.

EVERYTHING was excellent. There was a choice of homemade mustard or cranberry sauce to go with the pork. Beef was accompanied by mint sauce whilst chicken was smothered in wonderful curry. There was a mecca of salad options – if we had such choices at home, it’s guaranteed that half of Knysna would become vegetarian. My favourite was the pumpkin pie which i will eat definitely each much more of next time i go. Before exploding with happy gluttony, i sweetened my tongue with pecan tart covered in ice-cream, the latter a rare treat for my asthmatic self (it was a day for let-go).

Giorgio is there every Sunday, providing beautiful, acoustic guitar sounds to enhance your dining experience.

Compliments wouldn’t be complete without thanking Marian van Reenen whose co-owner along with her husband, Garth. Marian went out of her way to show me some of the farm’s history. Her staff who were always smiling and helpful. Raydene, our main waitress, deserved a kiss from each of her customers for her excellent service 🙂

Totties Farm Kitchen is open for breakfast and lunch on Saturdays. Essential to book for the buffet on Sunday!
