Concert in Illinois, USA Supporting Knysna Hospice
As the bird flies (ostriches excused, of course), it’s 14 135km from Knysna, South Africa to Illinois, USA. As far apart as they are, it’s not far enough to stop charitable hands reaching across the Atlantic Ocean.
The KishHealth System Hospice is sponsoring a benefit concert to raise funds for their own organisation and sister organisation, the Knysna-Sedgefield Hospice.
The concert is called Transformation Through Rhythm and will happen on April 12 2015 in the DeKalb High School Auditorium. Musicians will include the Northern Illinois University School of Music, DeKalb High School, Harambee African Percussion Ensemble and the Underground Kpanlogo Band. Entrance is free but donations are welcomed.
Last year, they raised approximately R10 000 and bought food parcels for patients and their families being tended to by the Knysna-Sedgefield Hospice.
Such a marvellous gesture! Thank you!
