I’m sure many of you will recall my campaign against the ANC for illegally covering a heritage building in Main Street with election posters for months after the elections. We eventually got them to take them down but they left the building damaged. No one from the Municipality would punish them.
The DA is no better. The photo above shows that the DA also kept up election posters illegally on their offices next to the Knysna Primary school grounds.
The hypocrisy is that these politicians, both ANC and DA, recently passed signage laws that nail small business owners whilst ignoring big businesses. Why is the law only applied to the small guy?
Remember that it was you, the public, who voted in this lot, most of whom came from nowhere, with no record of service to the community, yet now earn their big salaries whose increase they approve each year despite having been elected on their promise of austerity. Knysna needs to strongly remind them that they work for us, not themselves.
