Dark side of the Knysna Democratic Alliance
Last week, the Knysna-Plett Herald published this letter of mine which I post here as an important prelude to the next blog:
This is about the dark side of the DA, from politicians in my hometown of Knysna all the way up to MEC Alan Winde and Premier Helen Zille.
The Collins dictionary defines “conspiracy” as “1. a secret plan or agreement to carry out an illegal or harmful act, especially with political motivation; 2. the act of making such plans in secret.”
Knysna was (and is) conspired against. There is a conspiracy aimed at silencing truth and me. I currently face 10 legal actions, several in High Court after the local court would not accept them. The applicants notably include DA Deputy Mayor Esme Edge, DA Councillor Richard Dawson, CEO of Knysna Tourism Greg Vogt and DA member Magda Moos. They are tied together by a series of severe failures involving Knysna Tourism’s finances falling repeatedly into the red. Instead of punishment, there were rewards for wrongdoers and cover-up so that justice was prevented and the public screwed.
My aim to discover and expose truth the past 4 years made me into a citizen activist. Local government and provincial government will not respond. My email addresses are blocked by my municipality and in-person visits are treated similarly. Last week, I challenged them to a public meeting in Council Chambers. 38 000 people saw my post on Facebook. The DA did not respond. For all practical purposes, I’m banned and the DA has damaged the Constitution of South Africa. Despite this, my local readership and subscribers have grown rapidly – there are many in the public here who are concerned too.
I mention Helen because she and her office have long been aware of issues via email and, in public, refused to answer my questions. Furthermore, she and her henchmen have failed on so many levels regarding other Eden District towns such as Oudtshoorn and Plettenberg Bay. These towns have been further damaged by biased media. Unfortunately, there are those who think that the crimes of (and hate for) the ANC justifies the crimes of the DA. Such improper thought only alienates our country further. All wrongdoers should be treated equally.
I’ve come to believe that as the ANC is to South Africa so the DA is to the Western Cape. There is that adage about power corrupting.
I cannot discuss details of my cases owing to sub judice but there’s enough online if you search for it. However, as Helen has yet to lay a case against me (which I would welcome), I will throw this mess back at her publicly over coming months. I will also do my best to expose as many other issues as I can regarding Knysna Municipality.
If we are to have a worthwhile future, we need to stop the politicians thinking for us and question everything. Judge by truth, not bias, by facts, not fear. Think for yourselves.
Jaco Londt’s response had nothing to do with what I said, further proof that the DA doesn’t communicate (please read the very important follow-up to this blog at ‘Jaco Londt: Bottom of the DA Barrel’:
