‘Dear Helen Zille, My Disappointment’ was sincerely written with the hope of addressing corruption in my town of Knysna. I believe it to be representative of what’s happening in other towns too. It became the most shared post on Knysna Keep which is undoubtedly why the Knysna DA had it removed from Facebook (lying that a single photo was copyright and ignoring the thousands of words supporting my case).
There was a small group of outraged protestors on Facebook but I took them with a pinch of salt because NONE addressed a single issue in the letter. They were willing to fight Facebook but unwilling to answer the nitty-gritty. On News24, I got slammed too.
And, again, I experienced the ridiculous rumour mill of being ANC – let me make it clear, AGAIN, that the ANC have done nothing to earn my respect regards any of these matters. Those lies are dirty disinformation tactics. The ANC have done so little for Knysna that there’s no way that they can be called an opposition party!
FEAR OF THE ANC
DOES NOT GIVE THE DA
THE RIGHT TO TRAMPLE OUR RIGHTS,
OR COMMIT CRIME
This is not a race thing. This is not a political party thing. This is about honesty and justice!
There’s been no response to the allegations from dozens of DA members and Western Cape leaders in government. I hold true to my promise and will pursue this corruption by extending my awareness campaign. Note that I emailed a follow-up to the same blockading individuals this morning.
I realise that politics scares the hell out of some of you but our worsening future should scare you more. This fight hasn’t been easy for me. Please, to those who live here with me, Love Knysna. Don’t react with bias. Don’t be a silent majority. Those will only hurt us all more.
