The DA’s deal with the Devil
The assassination of Knysna ANC Councillor Victor Molosi has led to court delays followed by court delays. His supporters grew angry today, closing down Knysna Central and the N2. Rubber bullets were fired and many arrested.
Although there are 3 murder suspects, Velile Waxa is the man tried and found guilty by Public opinion. The DA needs to come clean about their sordid history with him.
In particular, Councillor Peter Myers and DA East Region Manager Jaco Londt were allegedly involved in funding this ANC man’s independent campaign for the 2016 local elections. As Londt is the DA’s Leadership’s man on the ground, its likely someone above him ordered that betrayal of the Public trust. It’s therefore interesting that Helen Zille has left her lofty perch in Cape Town to become the DA’s local fixer. Admittedly, she has other cover-ups to maintain from my years of fighting them.
The DA knew Waxa as a man who’d been fired from the Municipality for street protests and threats but they desperately wanted to hold onto the town that was slipping from their grasp. I played a hand in that slipping, repeatedly exposing their corruption.
Waxa became the DA’s bizarre coalition partner. He stayed true to his nature and did more bad things. He publicly threatened a women and interfered in a housing tender…. but the DA protected him. His disciplinary dragged out more than a year. And to ensure he maintained power, he threatened a motion of no confidence against the DA’s then corrupt Mayor Eleanore Spies. She stopped him with the bribe of making his niece her office manager. The DA Leadership didn’t punish her.
To ANC Chief Whip Victor Molosi and his dominant faction in the party, Waxa was their #1 enemy. They allegedly made a deal with Councillor Peter Myers and Mark Willemse – get rid of Waxa and we’ll give you our vote. Spectacularly, maybe making history, the ANC voted in the DA’s Willemse after booting out Spies.
The DA leadership repeatedly threatened the rebels but eventually back-stepped so as to come up with a more long-term plan. Later, a forensic report found Spies guilty of a number of crimes, recommending she be criminally charged. The DA leadership responded by promoting her to the Speaker position of the District that controls Knysna.
In between, Victor Molosi, the ANC’s alleged dealmaker with the DA rebels, got assassinated outside his house. Waxa was charged. So was the DA’s taxi driver.
Interestingly, the Hawks investigator wasn’t interested in the background to the killing, usually possible motivations matter. Similarly, the Hawks in Cape Town weren’t interested in the majority of my evidence in other matters, and totally removed the DA’s vast intimidation of me from their report.
Premier Helen Zille, Premier Candidate Alan Winde and MEC Local Government Anton Bredell need to explain why their faction was more important than a whole town, and why some criminals are special to them.
We especially need a whistleblower. Who has been paying for Waxa’s expensive legal defence and associated legal actions?
But the DA has more important things to do… such as have me arrested and silenced. Fuck those hypocritical arseholes. And smack me for not making them the real devil in this blog’s title.
