Knysna Democratic Alliance Councillor Dr Martin Young is no stranger to controversy. To my dismay and disappointment, his actions seem condoned by his party, exposing an evil underbelly where politicians rule and the public are abused.

Unethically, as a doctor, he repeatedly diagnosed me publicly as a psychopath. He also decided that I’m a danger to children. It didn’t matter that he’s never met me and that neither is true. He was simply an immoral man participating in a political propaganda campaign to discredit me for revealing corruption in the DA.

Thus it’s no surprise that he walked door to door to businesses to tell them not to deal with me, despite me having given free business adverts for years. He had the audacity to ask them for money so that he could try to jail me. He sent me threats.

Premier Helen Zille and DA Eastern Region Manager Jaco Londt have the dirt on this dirty doctor. Since they had it when he was a candidate, they must have approved because they allowed him to become a councillor.

And he has his Facebook supporters. It’s no surprise that some of these enraged white people support the questionable person he is because many of them, who have also never met me or produced any evidence, have participated in the gross insulting of me.

Maybe there’s no right and wrong anymore, maybe just weak-willed, shameful people taking sides according to their bias and hopes of association with politicians in, arguably, slimy power.

The lesson is that if you dare question the DA for wasting millions and practising cronyism, they will reveal themselves to be the same as the ANC and other crooked parties across the world. Power makes people drunk. They will burn their constitution in order to burn those who expose their true identity as the worst kind of greedy, sinful capitalists.

Some of my supporters may ask me to be careful, pointing out that DA Councillor Dr Martin Young may use this blog to add to the dam of DA-aligned, abuse of the justice system, court cases they try to drown me with. I tell you that if we forget to be morally outraged and stand up against those that damage our town, then we are no better than them!

Which brings me to, in my opinion, Councillor Dr Martin Young’s latest sin.

The Democratic Alliance has ridiculously ordered their councillors to sign an anti-racism pledge. It’s ridiculous because without a practical plan accompanying it, it’s just another marketing tool to make the DA look good on paper. Knysna, our beloved town, is deeply divided. Over the past 7 years, I haven’t seen the DA make any credible attempt to bridge that gap.

But what really frustrated me is that Councillor Dr Martin Young smugly and wrongly said, “What does it imply about those that refuse to sign?” Basically, he’s saying that if we don’t buy into this bullshit, we’re racist. No, Dr Young, we’re just not stupid.
