KNYSNA MUNICIPALITY TOLD PARLIAMENT:

Mr Grant Easton was appointed as per the normal recruitment and selection processes of the Knysna Municipality.

SUSAN CAMPBELL RESPONDED WITH:

If the selection process was normal, why was Mr Lubbe, who was found to be a suitable candidate in the first round, not appointed?

The tender was re-advertised to find a more representative candidate. Mr Rankgwana was found to be a suitable candidate, he complies with the language requirements in the advertisement and he had a PHD in Public Administration. Why was he not appointed ahead of the less qualified, Mr Easton?
