This is a continuation in exposing the misrepresentation of facts as delivered by the Knysna Municipality and Democratic Alliance to Parliament:

Knysna Municipality said to Parliament:

Easton has served the community of the greater Knysna Municipality for a period of no less than 12 years and the fact that he is English first language speaker has never affected the execution of his duties. As CFO, Mr. Easton two clean audits with a third being achieved whilst holding the position of Municipal Manager.

Susan Campbell responded:

Knysna Municipality advertised that the candidate had to be proficient in two of the three official languages spoken in the Western Cape. An organ of state is bound by the requirements it sets in an employment advertisement. Mr. Easton can only speak English and should therefore not have been shortlisted as he did not comply with the advertised job requirements.
