Excitement about the launch for 5 South African International Hope Spots is building and the respective committees are working hard to schedule events to raise awareness and encourage public participation.

Public participation is crucial to the establishment and sustainability of Hope Spots. Join us for these meetings:

• The Plett Hope Spot Public Meeting is on Monday the 26th of May 2014, 14:00, at Denron Community Development Centre. For more information, contact pletthopespot@gmail.com or keep abreast of new developments on their Facebook page.
• The Knysna Hope Spot Public Meeting is on Tuesday the 27th of May 2014, 10:00 in the Knynsa Council Chambers – view www.KnysnaHopeSpot.co.za.

Plett Hope Spot is also working hard on exciting events in celebration of World Oceans Day:

• an art auction on Saturday night 7th June Art featuring several artists, sculptors and photographers. Stuart Palmer from Lunchbox theatre is the auctioneer.
• art competition in the 6 Eco Schools, and all the schools are excited to be part of it.
• Reef Dive Clean u.
• Beach clean up and Sandcastle competition.
• Volleyball competition.
