How Do Knysna’s Golf Courses Affect Your Life?
Below is a link to a survey supplied by Inge Voigt. The goal is to determine the impact of golf courses on the Knysna community.
This is not for or against golf courses! There is no wrong or right answer. It is a practical study. Let’s understand the impact of Pezula, Simola and the forthcoming Knysna River Reserve Estate on our local community.
Inge Voigt is in her second year of her Masters degree in the department of Geography and Environmental Studies at the University of the Western Cape. Her main focus of study the past 6 years was geography and tourism.
Please assist Inge by downloading these 2 forms. The more information we have on Knysna, the more we learn about our town and ourselves. Once you’ve completed them, please return them by mail or fax to 086 669 6813. Thanks.

I know this much. The game drives me utterly bonkers! The only grumble I have about either Pezula or Simola is that the latter were allowed to construct above the skyline. Not good practice and amazing the Municipality allowed them to get away with this.
Absolutely…because everyone knows you can’t chip that high…now if you only had a golf course in Belvidere…ha ha.
Seriously though, it is ‘interesting’ that the Hilton press release boasted the private beach of Noetzie. Up Simola way, it was good news to hear that the upcoming Knysna River Reserve Estate will now be utilizing Simola’s course rather than making their own.
