I Expect More Than This From the Police
I expect more from the police.
Last year, this was a comment about me by a Captain in our Knysna SAPS on a page run by a DA politician: “Poor man, must be a very lonely person. If only the people of Knysna would stop enabling him, he will have to pack his bags and go! Hopefully to a place far from here.”
It’s an inappropriate response to me, an activist, fighting corruption. It’s no surprise that the comment was liked by a municipal employee who robbed our town, two DA politicians who associated me falsely with child abuse, and a well known businessmen who was supportive of their propaganda campaign.
I want to live in a better world where the police hate corruption as much as i do. I want the police to be my best friends. Will the Knysna SAPS realise that we’re supposed to be on the same side.
Captain Dewald Kitching, last year, your Station Commander failed to address this problem. I’m asking if you will be man and cop enough to admit that you were wrong, and offer public apology. Furthermore, will you read my evidence of corruption and then share your outrage at those who are stealing our town?
Will you pursue those criminals?
Will you drink coffee and shake hands with me?
Please let me know that you’re one of the policeman i can turn to if there is ever a dangerous time i’m in need of your help?
PS: Captain Dewald Kitching, note that i deliberately never included a photo of you or put your name in the header. I’m offering a number of people better relationships because that’s the sensible way forward if we’re to help our town.
