Informative Knysna Fire Article on SAForestryOnline
SA Forestry has posed an excellent article on the Great Knysna Fire, maybe the most informative so far.
The sentence that strikes me the most is, “Two main fires, followed by a number of smaller fires, started from the Elandskraal area north east of Sedgefield and in the MTO Kruisfontein Plantation just east of the Knysna urban area.”
It’s that fire that took went to Brenton and Welbedacht.
Why will our Municipality not assure us that they’re investigating the claims that a fire in Elandskraal was ignored for months by the Sedgefield Fire Station, before our disaster?
