Fields of Green for ALL, together with Judah Square, “Knysna’s One Love Rastafari Community’, ask you to join them this Saturday, March 21 2015, for a day of cannabis awareness that will feature information, documentaries, food and music.
Cannabis has been used for thousands of years and is no exception in many South African cultures. It is the most researched plant in history. Fields of Green for ALL wishes for it to claim its rightful place as a natural, safe and economically vital element of South African society. Active citizenry is needed in order to highlight the harms of current Cannabis misinformation, thereby reducing the stigma attached to the use of this plant.
From 2pm, there will be an info table where you can find out more about the cause. Be sure to sign the petition calling for the re-legalisation of the use of the Cannabis plant for all applications – industrial, medicinal, spiritual, religious and responsible adult use.
There will be a screening of “Dagga The Cost” and “Police in Helicopters” from 6pm, highlighting the cost of prohibition and the far reaching violation of human rights. Thereafter you can enjoy the sounds of Zion Youth and more. Performing musicians include Chiozo (from Malawi), Homegrown, Zion Youth and Bruce Botha.
Prepare your taste buds for some rastalicious cuisine on sale. Bring along some cash to support the cause and the community. Only R5.00 gets you a raffle ticket to win some amazing prizes.
Come and share the peaceful and Irie experience of Judah Square on this informative day.
