Legendary Afrikaans singer/songwriter/guitar player Valiant Swart will be performing in Knysna for the first time in many years during the upcoming Oyster Festival. The action will take place at Mitchell’s Brewery on Friday 11 July.

Celebrating his 25th year in the spotlight, Valiant Swart is a veteran of thousands of gigs locally and abroad. He has released 16 albums (with a new one in the works, due later this year), appeared on television as actor and presenter numerous times, published three books, received several awards, and also established himself as a popular magazine columnist over the past eight years. His songs have been covered and recorded by some of SA’s biggest stars.

The show at Mitchell’s will be a laid back acoustic solo outing, with Valiant treating guests to the cream of his substantial original repertoire – some melancholy and pensive, some absolutely hilarious – as well as priceless tales of his adventures and observations on the rock ‘n roll highway.
