So many of Knysna’s children don’t get to experience joys that most take for granted. Examples of this are when we took 25 of them to Coney Glen last week. Most have lived here their whole lives yet 18 had never been there before! Same applies to swimming pools and food.
A Knysna restaurant has kindly offered us meals at cost so that we can treat some of kids we’re working with.
For you to be involved, you need to pay for 2 or more children and join us in convoy to fetch them from Khayalethu. Cost is only R30 per child and includes food, drink and lucky draw prizes.
You will receive half-price on your meal and, if you have a child 12 years or younger, so will they if you bring them along.
The date is not set but likely to be a Saturday morning at 10am later this month. Not only will you put a smile on faces but you will enjoy a cross-culture experience too.
We will repeat this project so if you’re not available now, maybe you will be later.
