Knysna Literary Festival 2012
The third annual Knysna Literary Festival promises to be a feast for the literary senses with the inclusion of some of South Africa’s most acclaimed and awarded authors. This year’s line-up includes Mike Nicol, (author of Monkey Business–The Murder of Anni Dewani: The Facts, The Fiction, The Spin), Michael Sears (part of the writing team of Michael Stanley and author of A Carrion Death), Ingrid de Kok (Terrestrial Things), Michael Conrad Wood (Somali Kiss), Ryk Neethling (Olympic Gold Medalist with Chasing the Dream), Rob Caskie (Rorke’s Drift) as well as Margie Orford and Mandy Wiener.
Taking place between the 27th and 29th of April 2012, the Knysna Literary Festival has provided something for all tastes. Included in this year’s line-up is Murderous Ways; a life of Crime (writers) whereby Mike Nicol, Margie Orford and Michael Stanley are grilled on their Murderous Ways. Each writer will be put in the suspects chair and interrogated, both by the other writers as well as the audience and promises to give participants an insight into what goes on in a crime writers head. The extremely popular Delicious Word Journey event returns and not only gives the attendees an opportunity to experience Pezula Estate’s plum properties but an opportunity to chat to well known authors such as Ryk Neethling and Ingrid de Kok whilst enjoying a light dinner and Ataraxia wines.
