Bye bye, Knysna. Bye bye, 2016.
I was back online for 8 days because there were urgent issues in the public interest. I also wanted to ram home the point that Knysna Mayor Eleonore Spies’ election promise of communication is a terrible lie.
I cannot stand the thought of Knysna been so disrespected for another 4 years and 8 months. I will do my best to put pressure on her at a higher level. Let’s hope that the Public Protector does investigate the many questionable activities in Knysna. Failing that, i will approach the South African Human Rights Commission. It’s likely i’ll do that anyway.
I have much to do before the new year begins. I’m also back in court early January.
14 days ago i banned my mates from visiting me. Except for 1 meeting i’ve promised to politicians, i will try see no one or go anywhere (except for a daily walk) for the next 2-3 weeks. I’m hoping that no catastrophe insists that i return online.
I need to spend the ‘holidays’ working double days, working as hard as possible… but i will braai today 🙂
May the holidays, for all of you, be filled with good things like friendship, laughter, sharing, hiking, ice-cream, whiskey, bikinis, nudity, sand between your toes, water on your face and money in your wallet.
To those that support my activism, thank you! What i do is difficult. Your support is needed.
To those that hate me, i’m happy to make you uncomfortable 🙂
Either Knysna’s worth fighting for or it isn’t. That mustn’t be affected by what colour we are, how much money we have, what political party we belong to or who our friends are.
I’ve made my choice. Only you can make yours.
Love Knysna, Save Knysna!
See you in 2017.
