Lies are winning the war for the future of Knysna and ourselves
No more bullshit. I now fully accept that the DA in Knysna is never going to willingly commit to transparency and honesty regards so many serious issues. I give up on them.
I offered an olive branch to some and a final warning to others. The gestures proved worthless. They are too smug in power. Some, with a hint of goodness, have deluded themselves into believing that the ends justify the means.
Peter Meyers, head of the DA in our town, has convinced me there is no honour left in this political party. He and his cronies (which, especially, include MEC Alan Winde, Michelle Wasserman, Georlene Wolmarans, Greg Vogt, Lauren Waring, Grant Easton and Esme Edge) have only ensured cover-up so that their image, salaries and machinations for power are more important than crime and us.
That is not leadership. That is self-gain. That is defrauding the public trust.
My words do NOT support for the ANC. They have chosen to be part of the same cover-up. They may even be worse. Knysna has no good ‘leaders’ to look forward to. I don’t believe in choosing between the fire and the frying pan. We should be able to create something for ourselves that is better than losing.
Unfortunately, you, who should count the most, is more interested in politics and crime as entertainment than something you are willing to fight against, side by side, with your neighbour. Complaining without doing is the epitome of worthlessness. You have the power but it’s no use if you don’t use it! Stop complaining and do something – pleeeease.
I hope that some of you find the strength to help me fight the shadows on our town. It would be a relief to have your company or support because that is the only type of person i will know. I’m making my life far smaller. I’m not interested in people who care more about their social groups than right and wrong. Friendship is not defined as someone you drink beer or coffee with. They are people who share a home (Knysna) with you and believe that it must be safeguarded at all costs.
Although remaining active, I will not be doing as much publicly. There will articles (only onKnysnaKeep.org) but none on my other 6 websites. Projects are suspended.
This decision is not made lightly. I have worked very hard for free for several years to build up all these websites but it’s no use taking on 100 issues if there is no resolution. I’m going to dedicate myself to one primary issue (and related secondary issues) and ensure that these people are seen for who they really are… and punished.
I would expect them to make my life harder too.
I can’t promise success. I might just be another who slips through the widening cracks in our town. Right now the lies are killing the truth and winning the war for the future of Knysna – our future! We have to turn that around. We have to otherwise Knysna can’t be called home – Mike.
