I have repeatedly proven that the Democratic Alliance and Knysna Municipality are obstructive. They practice classic propaganda tactics by repeatedly stating that they are doing something that they have no intention of doing. The average person in the street would surely consider them being liars?

SPEAKER (EX-MAYOR) GEORLENE WOLMARANS

For example, Mayoral Candidate Georlene Wolmarans ran her 2011 election campaign on “open doors” and “transparency”. Then, as soon as she won, shut the Municipality tighter than a nun’s sexual invitation. She had pretended to be helpful at my concern of corruption at Knysna Tourism but then sent a letter that essentially banned me for years. Tourism went on to abuse millions of taxpayers’ funds. No one was held accountable. Instead, some of the people involved got promoted.

MAYOR (EX-SPEAKER) ELEONORE BOUW-SPIES

Eleonore Bouw-Spies, the 2016 Mayoral Candidate, copied her example, basing her campaign on “better communication”. Instead, in her first month in office, she allowed her friend and campaign manager to take over the Communication Department without putting the contract out to tender. She then pretended to have a helpful meeting with me but followed it with a press release against me that contained more lies than the child abuse complaints the Catholic Church has received. But if anyone bothered to listen to my recording of the meeting, they will have identified the press release as a major deception.

I use these metaphors not only for affect but to also remind that that press release was accompanied by a vicious propaganda campaign against me, associating me with a missing child and claiming that i was a sociopath whose a danger to children.

Of course, Georlene Wolmarans (ex-Mayor, now-Speaker) and Eleonore Bouw-Spies (ex-Speaker, now-Mayor), have failed to act against their fellow Councillor, Dr. Martin Young, who was part of that propaganda campaign. Consequently, i consider them, along with every councillor (especially Deputy Mayor Peter Meyers) to be co-conspirators.

TRUTH IS IN THE PUBLIC INTEREST

If their election campaigns, which won them power and money, were massive lies, surely the consequence is to truthfully label them as liars? And does that make everyone who supports them a supporter of liars?

Mayor Eleonore Bouw-Spies became the fattest joke of the year when, at the last Council Meeting for 2016, a year of absurdity at the cost of the public, she stated: “I’m a straight shooter whether people like it or not.”
