It was previously stated on this site that Mr Gay World 2015 was coming to Knysna but the finale would be held in Cape Town where other Pink Loerie festivities would also be held. The blogosphere was angry last week when Cape Town apparently pulled out. The organisers moved their events to a very lucky and receptive Knysna.

Well, the twists and turns continue as Cape Town is now back on board. However, Coenie Kukkuk, MGW Director for Africa & Middle East and Managing Director of MGW 2015, said in a statement to Mambaonline: “We thank Councilor Bloor and the City of Cape Town for supporting the event now. The scheduled events in Cape Town, like the visit to Parliament prior to the move to Knysna on the 29th of April, all stay the same. It is just the Grand Finale which will take place in Knysna.”

Yes, the finals of Mr Gay World 2015 will not move back to Cape Town. Knysna is the place to be!
