“Yes, the system of democracy is a complete farce. It is designed to enable the worst possible characters in society. Those with no moral fibre are merely pragmatic to the highest bidder. That is so that they can ascend to a position of leadership, content to ride a wave of populist rhetoric relying mostly on fear. Thereafter, their deranged personalities bend the system to their sick desires.
The end result is the psychological and societal tearing apart of the human being who is supposed to be a respected and loved creature. Who represents the poor of this world who have been reduced to picking through rubbish heaps to find food and clothing, and selling off their children as slaves (relieved to have one less mouth to feed).
This is the reality of the ‘dream’ sold to South Africa (and the world) through a sweet valium mixture of media sunshine and pathetic fanfare to a succession of manipulated and weak characters who people actually think are the leaders of this world. In fact, they are only actors, keeping us busy whilst the banks, corporates and warmongers steal from us all.”
That was a response by a Capetonian to my post about the DA leadership attacking its own councillors who’re standing against corruption within their party.
