Racist Government Employee, Asanda Magesh Magalela
“My kids will murder your kids in their sleep if you continue thinking you [whites are] superior – you watch.”
MURDEROUS RACISM
Asanda Magesh Magalela is a government employee who clearly expressed his wish for white people to be killed. It happened on my Love Knysna Facebook page after i posted an update on the woman who allegedly hitched a ride in an animal cage in the back of a bakkie.
Magalela also said: “This is what you get [from the] ANC for negotiating for what was ours to begin with. We were supposed to be given the opportunity to go to civil war – kill some of them in order to gain some respect from these white folks. Is it too late thou? I am patiently waiting on the day that blacks will be tired of these government laws that continue to protect the oppressors and take it upon themselves to kill you [whites] in numbers.”
RACIST IS A GOVERNMENT EMPLOYEE
Making the situation and his position worse is that Magalela is an employee of the South African government, a man who gets paid to serve his fellow citizens, not kill them. To be precise, he works in Supply Chain Management: Acquisition & Demand Office & Asset Management, Finance Department, Local Government & Traditional Affairs (Bisho, Eastern Cape), COGTA.
Magalela expressed his appreciation for his job with, “I blame Mandela for his rainbow nation bullshit and his stupid government of national unity.”
With difficultly, i tracked down his boss, Chief Financial Officer Kutala Shinta. When we first spoke on the phone, she expressed her horror but didn’t seem to want to deal with it herself. This was confirmed via email with her saying “I have escalated the matter to my supervisor for advice; once received, I will inform you of the procedure that will be followed.”
That was 23 days ago. Shinta has failed to answer two follow-up emails [she has called me since this article – see bottom of page]. It reminds me of Vuyisa Bhefiile Ka Hlazo, a manager in the Oudtshoorn Municipality who wanted to use a machete to cut out the tongues of white people. His punishment was only a written warning.
The Penny Sparrows and Helen Zilles should be made to explain their controversial words but it deeply concerns me that there’s a growing division between South Africa’s race group and accountability, that the same rules of law don’t apply to all. Why are insults headlines but not vicious desires for the deaths of others?
HOLD ASANDA MAGESH MAGALELA ACCOUNTABLE
Those in positions of power in our government who do not stand up for the citizens they serve are morally wrong and don’t deserve their positions. I’m hoping that the African National Congress (ANC) will make up for COGTA by kicking Asanda Magesh Magalela out of their party.
I abhor racism from wherever it arrives. I intend taking three haters to Equality Court; a DA politician, a white supremacist and Asanda Magesh Magalela.
Controversial stories are our opportunity to show our humanity. Unfortunately, there’s a minority segment of South Africa (white, black and coloured) that look for any opportunity to breed thoughts of violence. That is a shame on them that should never be pitied for it truly threatens the future of South Africa.
I ask you to keep that foremost in your mind when you comment on this story on my Facebook or address your complaint to Deputy Director General Vuyo Mlokothi through his manager at Asanda.Braweni@eccogta.gov.za (different ‘Asanda’). Note that she and the MEC have done no wrong. Your complaint will carry more meaning if it maintains dignity and polite words. Be sure to include offending employee’s name and the department he works for:
Asanda Magesh Magalela (unethical government employee)
Supply Chain Management: Acquisition & Demand Office & Asset Management
Finance Department
Local Government & Traditional Affairs (Bisho, Eastern Cape)
COGTA
Let’s hold government accountable whilst STANDING AGAINST RACISM.
NB: I originally provided Kutala Shinta edress but have removed it as she will not be at work until March 27. She informed me of such via phone on March 19, saying that she considers the matter serious but is waiting for advice from her boss. Thank you to the readers whose emails resulted in her calling me.
