Watching the unstoppable excitement of Judah Square’s Rasta kids as they swam, dove and water-bombed one another reminded me of the best days of my childhood. It was a pool party worth remembering and would never have been possible without the baking of Dee Manning and the frozen, naturally fruity desserts of Sista Kerri (catch a taste at Harkerville market on Saturdays).

Thanks also to Meg, Jen and Jess from Knysna High School and Isis from Concordia High for being our youth volunteers. Thanks to Hanlie and Anne for use of their wonderful garden and pool.

There was tons of food from banana scones and cheezy cabbage to 2kg snoek and bean/lentil salad but with my continuous to and fro running i forgot to take pics…but at least the volunteers took photos of the fun.
