This is about the Jekyll and Hyde Democratic Alliance many in the Western Cape don’t want to know.

I’m the petitioner of what has been dubbed the ‘Love Knysna Petition’. The threats against me are real, the Committee of Parliament having being provided evidence.

For 6 years I’ve been fighting DA corruption that people refused to admit existed. But a corrupt DA is in charge of our town, a fact that exists without the need to fit into the convenient bias of those who don’t love our town as their home.

Consequently, it’s a big deal that there’s finally public and government acknowledgement of the hell the DA and their cronies have put me through, trying to destroy my life through vile propaganda and abuse of the courts.

I was like many, in admiration of Helen Zille, a journalist who put up the good fight but, somewhere along the way, she got perverted by power.

The DA talks big about crime but all they’re doing is pointing fingers at others so that no one is looking at them. Corruption doesn’t belong to a single party. Unfortunately, it’s the South African way.

So is arrogance. Knysna Mayor Eleanore Spies showed her middle finger to Parliament. She never turned up, the 3rd out of 4 times the Knysna Municipality didn’t want to appear. Politicians who have nothing to hide don’t hide.

A fellow councillor of hers (Dr Martin Young) lied on Facebook that my presentation of corruption was postponed. The Municipality lied that they wanted a postponement so that they could work on the coming budget but the Administration prepares the budget, not a councillor….

…AND the Mayor, along with Speaker Georlene Wolmarans (who didn’t want to appear last time), were in fact in Beaufort West, 300km away from Knysna. They weren’t working for our town. They were deceiving Parliament whilst marketing the DA, proving that it’s about power and not the public.

It’s possible that Mayor Spies didn’t want to answer questions about the forensic report into her partner regards graft, or explain why her unqualified election campaign manager and friend was illegally put in charge of the Municipality’s Communications’ Department. Or why she refused to investigate any of the bigger crimes I reported to her, or the consequent vicious attack by the DA against me that, by the result, helped her.

Knysna’s government is rotten to the core. So is the DA leadership in Cape Town. Mmusi Maimane, James Selfe and Helen Zille ignored my cries for them to help our town. They are complicit in knowing of crime and allowing it to flourish.

Helen Zille, I told you that I will never let this go!
