Rock & Ride 60s Festival (Plett, Dec 19)
The Rock & Ride 60’s Festival is happening in Plettenberg Bay on the 19th of December at the Chocolate Café, just 5km from Plett, on the N2 to Knysna.
The recipe is simple: take a few classic and custom cars and bikes, add a dirt track oval, stir in large dose of live rock and roll music, mix in food and fun stalls and top off with a beer garden. Place all the ingredients in a stunning grassed and shady setting and you have the ultimate 60’s festival.
The Dirt track is open to anyone in any car, bakkie or bike who wants to test their skills. The vehicles will have five laps on the track. One at a time, the only competition being between man and his machine.
The music is provided by local musos and the 60’s theme will ensure some foot stomping and memorable beats from the past.
Among the display vehicles is a very rare 1953 Vincent “Black Prince” motorcycle – only 120 were manufactured and this one has been in the family since new.
Any enthusiasts who would like to display their vehicles are welcome and get a free gate pass for 2. To enter your car for display of for a stall contact Bobby Hack – 082 667 0427.
Gates open at 2pm and the music will rock the party till late.
