Saluting the Blood Givers of Knysna
The Western Cape Blood Transfusion Service is in Knysna approximately every 2 months. I popped by there for the last session which was in the hall on the grounds of the St. George’s Church. Having been in court, i hadn’t eaten so couldn’t donate my redness but could, at least, contribute to awareness with this blog.
“WPBTS functions as a successful non-profit company and employs more than 500 permanent staff. The organisation manages more than 760 mobile donation clinics across the province, and processes over 150 000 units annually, which are used to save or enhance the lives of more than 450 000 people. In addition, WPBTS has managed to increase the donor database to approximately 69 000 active donors.”
