To Knysna Directors, Politicians and their Bosses in Cape Town. If we skip the bullshit, we’ll get more done. I’m shooting honesty at you, what you gonna fire back?
I don’t have to hide my intentions because I’m proudly on the side of Knysna which I’m hoping will one day reclaim the title of ‘The Prettiest Town in South Africa’.
We must acknowledge the political and pre-covid financial crisis, and do our best to fix as quickly as possible. We’ll probably have to hurt a whole lot more before the healing begins but, as the reluctantly brave saying goes, “We’ve gotta do what we’ve gotta do.” If we don’t, we’re either thieves or cowards.
Who do You want to be?
IT’S BEEN AN INSANE TWO WEEKS
Two weeks ago, my goal was to stem the propaganda that was destabilising our town for political gain.
One week ago, I helped the fight to stop the DA’s and Western Cape Governments illegal attempt at taking over our town – it was stopped (at least for now).
Part of that was to make Acting Municipal Manager Michele Gratz go – she did (at least for now).
THESE ARE MY CURRENT GOALS:
1. Chief Financial Officer Mbulelo Memani must go!
2. Stop the victimisation of staff!
3. Expose MEC Anton Bredell and the DA.
4. Make AMM Louis Scheepers and Mayor Ricky van Aswegen unban me, and acknowledge the corruption I’ve reported (and, failing that, spend longer trying to hold them accountable).
There’s much on my schedule so I’m hoping that the seemingly misnamed Greater Knysna Business Chamber cleans itself. If they suddenly appear on Scheeper’s schedule as they did on Gratz’s, then we’ll only have moved from wrong to wrong.
Who among you receiving this email will commit to political honesty? I don’t expect ten, not even five. But one would be more than we’ve had before.
Onwards to Goal #1: ‘Knysna’s CFO Mbulelo Memani must go!’ (blog to appear in 10 minutes)
