I don’t have the time or the money to cope with working full-time for free anymore. I can’t sort the financial aspect but i can sort time by choosing what to focus on. Hopefully i can return to all at a later date but the consequence on my Love Knysna Facebook is that the jokes and business advertising will vanish but the important issues affecting our lives will remain.
Many of you are on that Facebook. Some of you will object. In particular, DA people have already as they can’t handle Zille being criticised. I’m only interested in what’s real, not skin colours or political party nonsense.
Knysna is in deep trouble. So is South Africa. We’re heading into very challenging times. Our lives are tenuous, depending on our government’s ability to borrow. As the ANC do it in Gauteng so the DA does it in Knysna – it’s unsustainable. Service protests are increasing. Crime is increasing.
Instead of tackling these problems head on, the general public keeps building thicker and higher walls between themselves and their fear. That is not good living. That’s only going to make things worse.
For almost 3 years, i’ve tried to encourage you to think for yourselves and tear out those bricks. Some of you have. Many of you haven’t. This weighs on me every day. Without us working together we will fail together.
The new version of my Facebook may not be what you want. Please don’t send me insults as some have already done. Simply Unlike the page. I will hate to see you go. I’d much rather you stay but you must do what’s good for you.
