Off the Knysna and Plettenberg Bay coast, this map shows that three energy companies (Bayfield Energy, PetroSA and Canadian Natural Res) have exploration rights for gas and oil.

I don’t want to see an oil rig when i look off the East Head one day. How come the DA and ANC don’t tell us where they stand? Why do they never mention this topic? Because they know we’d be against it… and because they are for it, as both are pro fracking the Karoo.

Some of the most important issues affecting our lives are not discussed by Knysna’s politicians.

They avoid drug talk.

They avoid the status of our infrastructure talk.

They avoid explaining our finances so that we can understand (they often say there’s no money but also say that we’re not broke – we can’t be both).

They don’t talk to us because they think that they don’t work for us.

You, the public, have to change the way you think. No more black and white shit, no more ANC and DA bullshit. Judge every single topic for its merits and demerits. Judge every politician and municipal manager for what they do and, especially, for what they don’t do.

Stop playing the game they have invented for you to play. Make them play your game.
