DA Speaker for Overstrand - Anton Coetsee

NGOs and Ratepayers organisations around South Africa can learn something from this argument by the Knysna Ratepayers’ Association against the DA’s intended secret, disciplinary hearings against councillors today. “RATEPAYERS STRONGLY OBJECT TO DA BOSSES CAVALIER TREATMENT OF MAYOR WILLEMSE AND COUNCILLOR MYERS Yesterday, Thursday 5 July, the Knysna Ratepayers Association’s Committee sent the following letter to Mr Anton Coetsee, the Initiator in the planned disciplinary proceeding of Mayor Mark Willemse and Councillor Peter Myers, and to James Selfe, chairman of the DA’s Federal Executive. ‘Zuma Must Fall’ Protest Action Can Lead to Greater Things

Are they elected representatives and public servants… or are we exhaustively working for them, our slavery ensured by skin colours and political parties that have no intention of walking the talk? Are we chained to a justice system indifferent to justice… sometimes a criminal perpetrator of injustice? As a man wanting a better life, as a human being capable of helping my neighbours, I raise my double barrel of middle fingers … Read the full article…

Knysna’s Mosque Landing Soon

Mike Hampton Posted on 21st May 2015 by mikehampton1st Nov 2020

Today, the controversial Knysna Mosque project took another step towards realisation. Credit to the persistence of the Muslim community as they fought unrealistic, public opinion. Although i have, in the macrocosm, strong views about religion as division and, in the microcosm, agreed with certain complaints such as that against broadcasting, i never signed the petition that did the rounds as it was never bothered to conceal distasteful discrimination. In our society, protected by the Bill of Rights, all must be allowed to practice their faith. “Section 15 states that everyone … Read the full article…
