Oil discovered off Garden Route coast
Oil and gas has been discovered off the coast of the environmentally sensitive Garden Route of South Africa. 1 billion barrels is expected. The discovery is located in Block 11B/12B which is in Brulpadda-1, an area in the Outeniqua Baisin that’s allocated to French company, Total.
