WHO, the World Health Organisation, has raised the Global Risk from Coronavirus COVID-19 to the highest level of alert. I’m disturbingly confident that COVID-19 is in South Africa. Coronavirus (COVID-19) Update – 29 February 2020

A mere 21 days ago, I posted that there were 724 dead, 6106 in critical condition, 34875 infected. I was concerned that Media were no longer giving it headlines… but they are now because figures have dramatically risen. It’s an awful thought but I expect the death toll to double from those currently affected. That would be more than 5000 dead… and that number will increase. Coronavirus update: 724 dead, 6106 in critical condition, 34875 infected

The coronavirus (2019-nCoV) is no longer making headlines but should be because the situation remains severe. Considering the huge number of people in critical condition, expect deaths to climb rapidly over the next week. CORONAVIRUS UPDATE: SITUATION WORSENS: Can you imagine being on that quarantined passenger ship wherein 10 passengers were found infected… and then to be told two days later that the infections have increased to 20.
