Are Voters Irrelevant to South African Politics?
Are voters irrelevant to South African politics? Although my ‘Cyril Ramaphosa and the War for South Africa’ opinion piece on the ANC Conference (and its possible affects) was extremely lengthy, i’ve too many other thoughts buzzing inconveniently. I let some of them them fly here, rather haphazardly… WHITE COMFORTABLENESS & MEDIA FAILING It’s unsurprising how the white population, normally hysterically anti-ANC, has so quickly fitted the possibility of Cyril Ramaphosa becoming President of South Africa in 2019 into something only slightly less than the DA taking over. Will South Africa’s Downfall Begin in 2 Years?
In 1977, RW Johnson, one of my favourite writers, predicted that there would be a South African regime change in the mid-Nineties. It was a helluva long neck to stick out but he was proven correct when the ANC took over. Others will … Read the full article…
The Possible Futures of South African Politics?

Considering the recent changes in the highest echelons of our government, the DA acting more like the ANC, COSATU ruffling its feathers and the introduction of AGANG, this makes for an interesting read into what may happen in our near future: South Africa needs a new political alignment to accommodate domestic and global change and reflect the realities of the post-apartheid society. The … Read the full article…
