Vehicle Testing Station Costs Ratepayer R2million So Far
A whistleblower reported irregularities at the Knysna Vehicle Testing Station in January 2013. The station was closed in February 2013. 4 staff were placed under investigation, including the manager. They have been paid their salaries since their suspension a year ago. Lauren Waring, Knysna’s Municipal Manager, originally lied, saying that the vehicle testing station was temporarily closed to review and upgrade its systems.
