I’m well aware of crime, having experienced much of it in Durban. I’ve seen enough blood. I know what it’s like to fear for my life. Life has become extremely challenging on the Garden Route. Robberies, drugs, rates, electricity and unemployment are on the increase whilst tourists decrease. Stress alone threatens the family unit. ROBBED Of 5 of my neighbours I’ve spoken to in Knysna, 5 had been robbed. Some robberies have turned to violence. Tik is one of the most dangerous drugs in the world and nowhere more concentrated than on the Cape Flats in the Western Province of South Africa where in 1 in every 10 children have tried it.
