The worst lies the DA & Zille told South Africa?

Mike Hampton Posted on 16th Jun 2018 by mikehampton1st Nov 2020
DA Helen Zille lies versus truth

One of the worst lies Helen Zille and the Democratic Alliance ever told was: “It was a personal cheque, from his personal bank account. It did not come from a Gupta company, nor from the Guptas, but it was handed over at their home. Because we had been guests at the Gupta’s home, our fundraising department included our standard letter of thanks to the Guptas, even though the donation had not come from them.” Don’t forget history for the sake of your bias. You can read her letter to the … Read the full article…

Helen Zille Won’t Respond: Knysna Fire & Intimidation Complaint

Mike Hampton Posted on 14th Jan 2018 by mikehampton5th Jan 2021

Before you read this detailed complaint, take a long moment to Imagine been down on the ground, injured and in awful pain. Someone’s shadow looms over you. You ask for help. They kick you in the teeth… again and again and again and again and again… Democratic Alliance (DA) supporters and politicians, their opposition and victims should read this Great Knysna Fire & Intimidation Complaint. It remains unanswered by the Western Cape Government and the DA for 4 months. I believe that the refusal to respond is linked to the … Read the full article…

Knysna Fires 7th June & Heavenly Haven Donations Worry

Mike Hampton Posted on 14th Sep 2017 by mikehampton1st Nov 2020

Donations theft was a big topic during the Great Knysna Fire. Despite 100 days having passed, there is little will towards accountability. Worse is that its strongly alleged that robbery by municipal staff has continued from depots until now. Secondly, some large, publicly stated donations of money were not deposited after the media hype passed. Outside government and corporate failures, and during a period when the Public seemed to care a lot more than now, i approached private organisations with the request they commit to transparency. “I have met several … Read the full article…

Thanks, Afriforum! – Love From Knysna

Mike Hampton Posted on 23rd Aug 2017 by mikehampton1st Nov 2020

The Great Knysna Fire delivered darkness instead of light. The human spirit is that “life carries on” but it wasn’t necessary that it had to be made harder by government’s refusal to communicate or help where needed most. 10 weeks after the fire finds many of us still with no idea where our future lies. We seem to be unwanted by our local government who has forgotten that it works for us. Maybe they want the poorer of us to be forced out of town. There are those who choose … Read the full article…

Moving Again, After the Fire

Mike Hampton Posted on 13th Jul 2017 by mikehampton1st Nov 2020

Moving again. I’ve been fortunate after the Great Knysna Fire, helped so many times. They may be different roofs but there has always been a roof. One can never underestimate that value – it takes a different breed of person to survive our streets in Winter. Oyster Fest bookings means i have to leave a very comfortable bed, in a self-catering flat, for 3 days. I was kindly offered a dead man’s flat but was told yesterday that they couldn’t get the smell out (i won’t go into detail of … Read the full article…

The DA Ensures the Knysna Fire Disaster Continues for the Homeless

Mike Hampton Posted on 3rd Jul 2017 by mikehampton6th Jan 2021

The Knysna Fire disaster continues, now with the Democratic Alliance versus the victims. Tonight, the meeting at the Angling Club was definitive proof that the DA doesn’t care about Knysna. I’m not making political statement, as i don’t support any of our politicians, but here the DA rules. It was made perfectly clear that Peter Myers, Ward 10 Councillor and Deputy Mayor, was the ‘Them’ in the ‘Us versus Them’, instead of being our elected representative. It was disgraceful that Mayor Eleonore Spies wasn’t there, maybe because there were no … Read the full article…

Who in Knysna Thinks Human Rights is Inconvenient?

Mike Hampton Posted on 2nd Jul 2017 by mikehampton1st Nov 2020

I’m tired of repeating myself so post this thought about Knysna Fire donations and human rights so that i can copy and paste the link next time someone needs similar response on Facebook. I refuse to take the easy route and i don’t believe that anyone should during our great challenge. There’s good and bad in the aftermath of our Great Knysna Fire, there cannot only be good for the sake of convenience. There are people doing amazingly good deeds and i have given kudos to several. How could i … Read the full article…

Knysna’s Social Media Crazy Monkey Zoo

Mike Hampton Posted on 1st Jul 2017 by mikehampton6th Jan 2021

In controversy, we discover who’s who in our Knysna zoo. There are far too many crazy monkeys for comfort. I posted a link regarding the alleged theft of donation funds. I clearly stated that I never knew if it was true or not but in the comment section leaned towards it being untrue, repeatedly saying that the main issue was the lack of government communication. I also stated that if it were untrue, I wanted our Municipality to squash the falsehood quickly. In a democracy, where government works for us, … Read the full article…
