Fun & Education at Quay 4 & SANParks

16 kids between the ages of 6 and 13 experienced a good breakfast at Quay 4 on Thesen Islands in Knysna. It was part of the Love Knysna Projects Eat & Smile program which ensures that poorer kids visit restaurants so that they feel part of the town they live in. Join Us: Have Fun Whilst Helping Knysna’s Kids

Love Knysna Projects is a group of local volunteers who take kids for experiences that make their world bigger. We want to ensure that they know that Knysna is their home and not, as too many answer, the road where they live or “the township”. As ours is a tourist based economy, sharing knowledge will help create ambassadors for our town. Help Us Make Kids Eat & Smile

We’re looking for ladies, moms and daughters, to make a morning special for some not-so-fortunate kids. We’re calling this Eat & Smile. So many of Knysna’s children don’t get to experience joys that most take for granted. Examples of this are when we took 25 of them to Coney Glen last week. Most have lived here their whole lives yet 18 had never been there before! Same applies to swimming pools and food.
