Another major gas discovery off Garden Route coast

More bad news for nature and tourism lovers on the Garden Route. There’s been another gas discovery offshore. Total announced on Wednesday a second significant gas condensate discovery offshore South Africa, Kallanish Energy reports. The discovery on the Luiperd prospect, on Block 11B/12B in the Outeniqua Basin, follows the adjacent play opening Brulpadda discovery last year. The well was drilled to a depth of 3,400 meters and encountered 73 meters of net gas condensate pay. The block is operated by Total with a 45% stake. Why is the majority of Knysna’s waste water not meeting standards?” asked John.Buchanan, a retired specialist and engineer. He was at the Section 80 Technical Services meeting on April 12 to call for the use of alternative technologies, different attitude and skills.
