Complaint to MEC Bredell regarding his corruption letter to Knysna

Complaint to MEC Anton Bredell regarding his corruption letter to Knysna

MEC Anton Bredell, so there’s check and balance, I’m CCing your right-hand man, Graham Paulse, and Melanie Joffee, Senior Manager with the Western Cape Auditor General’s office. I’ll ask her two important questions near the end. In the interests of justice, I’ll ask you many. I refer to your letters to Knysna regarding alleged fraud, maladministration and corruption. They were dated 30 April and 23 June 2020. Was your intention for them to fail? Accountability: “The state of being answerable; responsibility for the fulfilment of obligations; liability to account for … Read the full article…

Breaking News: MEC Bredell’s corruption letter to Knysna Speaker Titi Gombo

Anton Bredell corruption letter to Titi Gombo Knysna

This corruption letter will slap more than Knysna to attention. Desperate to hang onto power, the leadership of the Democratic Alliance has been leopard crawling through the fynbos and ostrich droppings in our Garden Route towns. There are forces afoot, so this letter cannot be considered an honest step towards accountability by the Western Cape Government (WC). But it is interesting. WHAT’S IN THE LETTER? The letter was sent by MEC Local Government Anton Bredell to Knysna Speaker Titi Gombo (ANC). The many corruption and maladministration issues within appear to … Read the full article…

No bullshit please, will the real Mayor and Municipal Manager step forward

Mike Hampton Posted on 18th Jun 2020 by mikehampton21st Jun 2020
no bullshit

This is my letter questioning Knysna Mayor Elrick Van Aswegen and Municipal Manager Louis Scheepers regarding the alleged theft of fire donation cash, staff suspensions, kickbacks and other fraud. I begin with the political battle background to today’s important Council Meeting. Today will be the third Special Council Meeting in three weeks in my beautiful yet politically scarred town of Knysna. The crisis of morality and corruption there has become symbolic of DA dirty tricks and Public betrayal. The DA deliberately became opposition, created a crisis, and then tried to … Read the full article…

Knysna Municipality will fight Elandskraal’s Knysna Fire victims

Mike Hampton Posted on 13th Jun 2020 by mikehampton13th Jun 2020

Maroela Media reports that the Knysna Municipality will oppose the R17.2-million Great Knysna Fire claim against it by 19 residents from Elandskraal, the origin of the disaster. The Knysna Fire’s many victims know well that it began with a lighting strike in the Elandskraal bush several months before the disaster. Residents repeatedly appealed for assistance to the Knysna Municipality and its fire services. They even provided aerial footage of the first smoulder which indicated burning underground. Ignoring them led to the destruction of 1059 homes, 7 deaths and an estimated … Read the full article…

Fraud allegations against Knysna ANC Deputy Mayor and Chief Financial Officer

Mike Hampton Posted on 10th Jun 2020 by mikehampton14th Jun 2020

Knysna Municipality is a battle zone. It’s full of the ghosts and the bleeding. In between are skeletons. The latest of many to be unearthed are allegations of corruption against Chief Financial Officer Mbulelo Memani and ANC Deputy Mayor Aubrey Tsengwa. The author in the 4-page letter below is (now suspended) Municipal Manager Sitembele Vatala. Vatala is scarred by complaints too. However, here it must be explained why Memani wasn’t suspended and investigated by an independent contractor. It must be uncovered why, instead, Vatala was suspended. There is also no … Read the full article…

I’m Mike Hampton, an anti-corruption activist from the Western Cape. I’m currently in exile from my home town owing to fear for my safety. It’s against the Democratic Alliance (DA), Western Cape Government, Knysna Municipality, Office of the Public Protector, private companies Knysna Tourism and Maritime Risk Solutions, and others. My evidence implicates many people, including Helen Zille, Premier Candidate Alan Winde and MEC Local Government Anton Bredell, Garden Route Speaker Eleanore Spies, Fire Chief Clinton … Read the full article…

DA’s MM Kam Chetty implicated in fraud

fraud Kam Chetty Melony Paulsen Georlene Wolmarans Democratic Alliance

The Knysna DA’s ex-Municipal Manager Kam Chetty and Legal Services Director Melony Paulsen have been implicated in fraud, partly because of their actions against me, an activist. The investigation was conducted by De Swardt Vogel Myambo Attorneys. The allegations of misconduct and fraud include: Chetty took office on July 10 2017 but allegedly only signed his contract 6 weeks later on August 24 2017. He, in collusion with others in the Municipality and Council, appeared to delay until National Government announced higher salaries and benefits. It suggests he was bought, … Read the full article…
