The ANC has won the Northern Cape with 64% of the vote. Previously, the DA had claimed that they would take the province but only mustered 24%. Although considerably off target, that is almost double what they achieved in 2009. With 5% support, the EFF wins 2 seats in the provincial legislature. COPE took a big knock but will get 1 seat.
