The DA’s Albert Fritz manipulates AFM Christians for votes

Mike Hampton Posted on 8th Dec 2019 by mikehampton1st Nov 2020
2019.12.01 DA church service before Ward 11 by-election campaign manager

The Democratic Alliance (DA) campaigned in a church 3 days before the recent Ward 11 by-election in Knysna. Not in a community hall or on a field – in a church in the suburb of Hornlee where the bulk of the coloured population live. Albert Fritz was their preacher in blue. The DA’s election campaign manager, Rozain Hansen, organised the venue to score votes from Christians. The poster, which you can view in full at the bottom of this post, supports that deduction. Although it should be common sense that … Read the full article…

Hornlee Knysna Dorotian-Funeral-Services-in-Knysna-_-Where-Everybody-is-Somebody

The tourist town of Knysna experienced a shocking amount of protest action from different groups the past week. This affected the Western Cape as the N2, the only tarred road through Knysna, was repeatedly closed. The action can be divided into three groupings: The first was against the release of assassination suspect, Velile Waxa, the DA’s ex-coalition partner. This involved several communities but predominantly Concordia and White Location. Nekkies and Oupad, which straddle the N2, protested against failed service delivery. This has been ongoing for years. The third, which is … Read the full article…

March Against Women & Child Abuse (Hornlee, June 16)

Mike Hampton Posted on 6th Jun 2017 by Public Contributor1st Nov 2020

Whenever you open a newspaper or watch the news another child or women has been raped or murdered. Our society has reached a place where it prays on the lives of women and children. Their blood are calling out to God and He will call us to account. (Exodus 22:21-24). We are calling the community to action. Enough is enough. It’s time for men to take a stand. It’s time for all God fearing people to take a stand.  It’s time for the community to a stand and to say … Read the full article…

Dear Mayor, What About Knysna Crime?

Mike Hampton Posted on 26th Sep 2016 by mikehampton1st Nov 2020

I sent Mayor Eleonore Bouw-Spies questions regarding Knysna crime. Unfortunately, she hasn’t responded, again denting her election promises of transparency and communication. I don’t believe that politicians, especially a mayor, get to ignore one of our biggest problems and fears. Sure, the SAPS are primarily responsible but it’s become far too easy for elected leaders to pass all the responsibility onto them. It’s even worse if the Democratic Alliance does it because that’s basically shifting the blame onto the ANC, a convenience of politics. A real leader doesn’t do that. … Read the full article…

Hornlee Couple Says It's Their Dream Home

Mike Hampton Posted on 17th Jul 2016 by mikehampton1st Nov 2020

“A retired couple from Hornlee in Knysna say money doesn’t have to stand in the way of living in your dream home, no matter what your financial status. According to them, all you need is a little creativity. Philip and Florence Davids turned their government subsidised, 5m x 6m “hop huisie” into a four-bedroom home complete with a deck looking out over their neighbourhood with nothing but a dream of comfort and a limited budget. The couple, who lived as backyarders for years until they were selected as beneficiaries in … Read the full article…

Interview: Coach Aschin Klein on Knysna Rugby

Mike Hampton Posted on 2nd Apr 2016 by mikehampton2nd Apr 2016

Love Knysna: What’s was the best moment you’ve had as a coach? Coach Ash: That’s shared between two events. The one was when my ex-fiancé, Mathrin Simmers, our clubs captain at the time’, became our first Springbok player – that was June 2012.  The other event was last year, winning my first International trophy with the Kenya National Women’s 7s team at The World Series Qualifier in Dublin Ireland – my first International Tournament as coach. Love Knysna: What are the qualities you need to see in a player for … Read the full article…
