Hawks Part 2: Recommendations for investigation

Mike Hampton Posted on 22nd Apr 2019 by mikehampton22nd Apr 2019

Based on my complaint, the Hawks (DPCI: Directorate for Priority Crime Investigation) recommended investigation into corruption in the Western Cape. Reference for media: ‘Case – Cape Town OC 19/07/2018’. The Hawks spokesperson is Captain Nkwalase, the only decent officer I dealt with during this process – NkwalasePS1@saps.gov.za. The ‘analysis’ was conducted by: Colonel Piet Bergh (Chief Priority Crime Management Centre) Captain Philip van Dyk (Van Bergh’s right-hand man) Colonel Abdul Enus (Unit Commander Anti-Corruption) You may think that this is a victory for me but it definitely isn’t. It’s a … Read the full article…

Hawks Part 1: Affidavits against Democratic Alliance corruption

Hawks DPCI Democratic Alliance corruption Piet Bergh Godrey lebeya Bheki Cele

I’m Mike Hampton, an anti-corruption activist from the Western Cape. I’m currently in exile from my home town owing to fear for my safety. This is my main affidavit to the Hawks (DPCI: Directorate for Priority Crime Investigation). It’s against the Democratic Alliance (DA), Western Cape Government, Knysna Municipality, Office of the Public Protector, private companies Knysna Tourism and Maritime Risk Solutions, and others. My evidence implicates many people, including Helen Zille, Premier Candidate Alan Winde and MEC Local Government Anton Bredell, Garden Route Speaker Eleanore Spies, Fire Chief Clinton … Read the full article…

Western Cape Parliament protecting corrupt MEC Anton Bredell

Sharna Fernandez Democratic Alliance liar

The DA Federal Executive and Premier Helen Zille ignored my complaint against MEC Bredell for committing perjury in Parliament, protecting himself and the property developers he favoured against the Public. So I tried a different route, a step lower down the ladder of power. SHARNA FERNANDEZ Sharna Fernandez, the DA’s Speaker for the Western Cape Provincial Parliament, acknowledged my complaint in November 2018. On the Provincial Parliament website, she states: “As Speaker, I hope to draw the attention of all citizens of this province to the rights and responsibilities our … Read the full article…

DA Poo #15 – Whiny bitches

Mike Hampton Posted on 17th Mar 2019 by mikehampton18th Mar 2019
Western Cape MEC Local Government & DA Chair Anton Wilhelm Bredell

“Face it, if you’re the average citizen, you don’t control your future. Not because you can’t but because you’re lazy. You’re like almost everyone else who allows others to make important decisions for them. Then you bitch about the Government at a braai, or during the intermission of a rugby or soccer game. And you feel ok cause you’re drinking a beer in the company of other whiny bitches. If I just described you, the biggest question in your life should be, “Who do I want to control my future?” … Read the full article…

Cape Times & Argus Report on Knysna ISDF Tender

Mike Hampton Posted on 14th Dec 2015 by mikehampton1st Nov 2020

Knysna’s future change now cauldron of dissent Weekend Argus  / 12 December 2015 at 10:20am / by: Caryn Dolley A MAJOR 30-year plan to overhaul and rejuvenate the popular southern Cape town of Knysna is at the centre of a scandal after the provincial government pinpointed several flaws in the awarding of the contract to oversee the plan. In addition, there have been claims the report detailing the concerns was purposely suppressed by provincial and local authorities. Grant Easton, Captain of the Pirate Ship

Mike Hampton Posted on 2nd Apr 2015 by mikehampton5th Jan 2021

In today’s issue of the Knysna-Plett Herald’s SMS section, someone texted: “The Mayor could not wait for the ISDF report as she needs a captain for her ship. Hope it’s not a pirate ship.” The appointment of Grant Easton as Knysna’s Municipal Manager is arguably the most controversial since the DA took power in 2011. When the motion was carried through, it should have been a momentous occasion but the ONLY person to clap was Christopher Bezuidenhout, the well-paid Communications Manager who refuses to communicate with the public on the … Read the full article…

Does Political Bias Reward Knysna Ward Committee Members?

Mike Hampton Posted on 17th Nov 2013 by mikehampton27th Jan 2021

Where were they? What positions do they hold now? Is it possible that political bias rewards Knysna Ward Committee members? As mentioned several times on this blog, there are people who are failing Knysna because of political bias. Looking at the photo above, I can’t help but wonder if there’s a reward for ignoring the public. Municipalities and Ward Committees are not weapons for political parties. If they were, municipalities would not be staffed by the general public and ward committees would not exist. They are there to serve everyone! … Read the full article…

2. …Or Are They Evil?

Mike Hampton Posted on 11th Sep 2013 by mikehampton27th Jan 2021

Whilst Oudtshoorn and Bitou stagger through a carnage of politicians bent on gaining power at all costs, Knysna has, relatively, escaped the negative spotlight it deserves. No resident wants to discourage tourists, business ventures or new homeowners but the sheer scale of the problem insists that it be addressed before it reaches a point of no return. The implementation of the ISDF (Integrated Strategic Development Framework) maybe that tipping point. What is the ISDF? It’s a plan to shape the future of Knysna. It will decide where houses and businesses … Read the full article…
