Knysna to Karatara – Countryside

I mentioned previously that Nathalie Belet from Conservation Global had introduced me to Ellie Leaning, an American student undertaking a project on food security in South Africa. I recommended that they visit the marvelous Tsiba College in Karatara. They were keen so i tagged along. I took them the long route there (almost an hour), through Rheenendal and the Karatara Pass. The countryside of Knysna is idyllic, perfect for a relaxing drive or fun exploration with the family. Being Knysna, there’s always more on offer. Along the way there are farm stalls and restaurants. One of my favourites is The Red Barn which sits comfortably in a lovely garden surrounded by macadamia trees. You can find out more about them, as well as their contact details, here.
