Greg Vogt will become CEO of Knysna Tourism on 1 July 2014, despite clouds of questions hanging over him. I haven’t met a member of the Public who can understand his appointment to this important position. Dumb thieves, ‘corporate espionage’ or dumb luck that can’t be used? It’s symbolic of the growing crime in our town that, over a handful of years, Knysna Tourism’s very visible offices in Main Street, opposite Knysna Mall, have been robbed before. Two failed attempts to break in followed. A shop next door to them even had the female staff terrified as they were robbed and left tied up.
