Revealed: Charge Sheet Against Knysna Municipal Manager Grant Easton

Mike Hampton Posted on 26th Mar 2017 by mikehampton5th Jan 2021

This article reveals the underhanded conduct of the Democratic Alliance and that they’re prepared to play with the future of a whole town. This is clearly demonstrated through the disciplinary charge sheet against Knysna’s Municipal Manager, Grant Easton. The charges have not been made public until now. In fact, for 9 days, the Municipality’s Legal Department and Municipal Manager Johnny Douglas have failed to acknowledge my PAIA request for the full details of the disciplinary hearing. I mysteriously discovered part of the required information in an envelope at my home … Read the full article…

Wish Me Well for Today!

Mike Hampton Posted on 10th Feb 2016 by mikehampton1st Nov 2020

Wish me well for today when i present my allegations of Knysna government corruption to a committee of Parliament. Going to be a wild morning. I can only hope that i stand before interested politicians rather than this become part of my almost … Read the full article…

Laws Holding Municipalities Accountable in South Africa

Mike Hampton Posted on 8th Mar 2015 by mikehampton1st Nov 2020

These laws and guidelines are extracted from the: Municipal Finance Management Act (MFMA) – Part 1: Disciplinary Proceedings (financial misconduct by municipal officials) Municipal Finance Management Act (MFMA) – Part 2: Criminal Proceedings (Offences) Section 4(2)(a) of the Municipal Systems Act (MSA) National Treasury’s MFMA … Read the full article…

Vehicle Testing Station Costs Ratepayer R2million So Far

Mike Hampton Posted on 2nd Sep 2014 by mikehampton1st Nov 2020

A whistleblower reported irregularities at the Knysna Vehicle Testing Station in January 2013. The station was closed in February 2013. 4 staff were placed under investigation, including the manager. They have been paid their salaries since their suspension a year ago. Lauren Waring, Knysna’s Municipal Manager, originally lied, saying that the vehicle testing station was temporarily closed to review and upgrade its systems. ENS was appointed as an outside company to investigate as Municipal Manager Lauren Waring claimed that Knysna Municipality does not have the expertise required. ENS is currently … Read the full article…
