Doctors Without Borders/Médecins Sans Frontières (MSF) is a medical, humanitarian organization created by doctors and journalists in France in 1971. It operates in over 60 countries, mostly helping those who are victims of war, natural disaster and malnutrition. In 1999, they won the Noble Peace Prize. The same year, they began operating in South Africa. Here they face the challenges of refugees, HIV and TB.
