DA corruption Alan Winde Helen Zille

Private tourism companies in the Western Cape are being illegally funded from Public funds. This is about DA corruption that places an enormous question mark over MEC Tourism Alan Winde, the DA’s Western Cape Premier candidate. This story began in Knysna but impacts on the economic health of the province and the national perception of the DA. It will likely grow to impact the 2019 elections. I have laid complaint with the Office of the President and the Western Cape Hawks. The former has acknowledged my complaint and the latter … Read the full article…

Black Friday racist stereotype protest - themikehampton dot com

Susan Campbell, in response to ‘Knysna East Head Lease Deception?’, has requested that the following legal argument, in favour of the lease, be posted. Her comments are in red. NOTE: THIS REFERS TO “TRANSFER OF OWNERSHIP” AND NOT A LEASE. THEREFORE THIS SECTION … Read the full article…

Did Grant Easton Do the Wrong Thing for Knysna?

Mike Hampton Posted on 25th Feb 2015 by mikehampton1st Nov 2020

The Knysna-Plett Herald’s article on ANC Chief Whip Stephen de Vries receiving R28 000 towards his studies this year was troubling for several reasons. I’ll first discuss the possible implications and then explain why it is illegal. Why were we, the public, unaware that De Vries’s studies were being paid? The municipality must have a policy regulating study loans or bursaries to councillors and municipal staff – Acting Municipal Manager Grant Easton must supply that and, separately, the agreement with De Vries and any others receiving ratepayers’ and taxpayers’ money. … Read the full article…

Tourism Truth #4: The Laws They’ve Broken

Mike Hampton Posted on 17th Jun 2014 by mikehampton23rd Jan 2021

Enrico Campher responded in the comment section of Knysna Keep which led to several emails between us about the laws that the Knysna Municipality has broken regards Knysna Tourism. Without any debate, the careless disregard for taxpayer’s monies is blatantly obvious to the layman but, considering those organisations reluctance to rectify the situation and punish those responsible, it certainly helps to bolster the case against them with relevant laws. Campher is a local government consultant (law, supply chain management processes, risk management and contract management). He served on the first … Read the full article…
